This is a National competition run according to IFSC rules.
This is the stand alone championship event to crown male and female Open Bouldering champions for NZ 2023 / 24 Age categories: Open – Athletes must be at least 15 years of age on the date of the event, being 16th of September 2023. Opens born during 2008 or earlier and at least 15 years of age on the date of the competition. There will also be a Boulder Jam competition on the day for Open B and Youth B athletes – separate registration.
The competition runs entirely on Saturday and consists of one qualifying round of 5 blocs and one final round of 4 blocs.
Entry fee options for this competition are $95* (Early Bird one category), $105* (regular fee)
*Fees included previously levied $30 athlete entry fee via clubs. Talk to your club about this if you need an explanation.

Registrations close midnight Thursday 14th September 2023. Early Bird registration price ends midnight Thursday 7th September 2023. Late registrations and those taken on competition day will incur an additional $20 late fee.
Competitors must be a member of an affiliated Climbing New Zealand club and have a Domestic Climbing license if they want to be eligible for New Zealand Team selection.
All competitors must complete the domestic license form prior to the competition. Forms are available on the Climbing New Zealand website, or will be available on the day.
Climbers who are not a member of an Affiliated Club can enter as an individual with an additional one-off payment of $20.
Completed forms are to be provided to clubs for affiliated athletes or provided on the day to officials.
