Climbing NZ is delighted to announce Black Diamond as Gold Sponsor for the 2024/25 season.
This season Black Diamond is our official Volunteer Sponsor. Felia Faber, our Event and Development Manager, says: “From the moment I stepped into this role, 11 months ago, I knew it was time to find a way to acknowledge and thank our volunteers.” She adds: “When our children started climbing I could see that CNZ can only run their great events because so many parents and climbing supporters give up their time to volunteer at these events”.
She has worked to ensure volunteer engagement increases and this year is the first full season that CNZ volunteers have an official sponsor.
“The moment I approached Black Diamond with the idea of becoming our volunteer sponsor, they were fully on board. It has been amazing to work with them to create some new visuals and materials as well as put together a great volunteer appreciation programme for the season’.
Ewan McCaffery, Black Diamond NZ Brand Manager, couldn’t be more proud to put the Black Diamond name on this initiative and comments: “We all know that volunteering is often a thankless task. Yet without the hundreds of hours these people donate, many events and sports simply would not be able to happen. Black Diamond would like to play a part in thanking the volunteers for their time and effort”
